This blog is intended as a space for me to track links and thoughts related to the implementation of health care reform from an actuarial perspective. The sheer amount of new regulation and market change that is coming for health insurance is overwhelming - and so much is still up in the air in terms of regulation and interpretation. There are a variety of sites with really great information but there is a lot that is a matter of interpretation or yet to be decided. I am hoping to dive deeper into the implications of certain areas of health care reform implementation from a practical perspective. I am a health actuary with health plan and consulting experience my work here is my own thoughts and opinions and in no way reflects the postions or opinions of my employer or the Society of Actuaries or American Academy of Actuaries.
Topics I hope to cover and track as more information becomes available:

Medicare/Medicare Advantage impacts
